Back in Touch with an old Best Friend!
My parents divorced after my Junior year of High School. Moving to a new school in Florida (coming from Michigan) was a difficult thing in many ways.
One of the first people I met was a guy named Chris Richards. He was living out of an old Celtica, and we hit it off immediately. He was truly a bad ass, and every weekend when we would go to parties, guys from other schools would challenge him to a fight. I was his back up, and when he started pounding some guys ass, I was there to jump in if somebody tried to interfere with the fight. I was big into wrestling, and could damn sure take a punch. So, I would get hit once or twice coming in, but once I got ahold of somebody, it was all over.
My Mom loved Chris, and he called Mom last week, and thus I was able to get back in touch with Chris again after 20 years of no contact. It was like we had never stopped communicating. Isn’t that strange! He is married with a son and daughter both in college! Chris is about to retire from Fed Ex.
We both love to fish. I can’t wait to visit him in Spokane, Washington one day soon.
In other news, I found a cool bike on the side of the road. I fixed it up, painter it, and bought stickers at Wal Mart, and put them on the Bike. My son says he loves it! He is probably just saying that. I will attach a picture of the bike to this blog post.
I shut the website down for a while because I am making some changes. Actually, I shut down everything for a while. My mom is sick, and I am trying to give her all of my attention while I can. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It makes me really sad. The drug companies are trying to charge her almost $2,000 a month to extend her life. She is a retired schoolteacher. It pisses me off. Just the way they interrogated her, trying to justify charging that much. The whole reason I live here close to her is I always told myself I would be there for her when this time came.
When we moved to Florida, my wife and I took care of my grandmother for almost 4 years before she passed. Us taking care of her kept her out of a nursing home, and allowed her to keep her house, and pass it on to her children, my mom, aunt Dee, and Uncle Steve. It will be the same with my mom. She has a nice house, and I wish to keep it. I will buy out my sister. Hopefully this will happen a long time from now, but I am preparing now.
It took years for my VA compensation to come in. Thus my credit went to hell. I have been fighting for 3 years now trying to improve my credit once again. And I have got it good enough now I can use my VA loan once again. So, I am prepared. We have a nice place to live now. I hate to even have to think like that. But I have to.
I have a new page in the website. It is called AK knives. I met this gentleman on Facebook. He is from a generational knife making family in Pakistan! He gave me references, and he checked out perfectly. He makes the most beautiful knives I have ever seen! I feel proud to offer them. Check them out yourself! I have pictures of some of his knives, and 6 videos showing him making the knives. He also makes hatchets, and swords. He makes all different types of knives.
Enough for now.
I am back! The 3 pictures are the before picture is the 3rd picture. The 1st picture is midway completed. And the middle picture or second picture is the finished product! I added the rear rack, and a rear light for night driving. It has a light on the front also.
